The City of Chilliwack is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to fill the position of Senior Operations Technician ??? Parks and Trails in the Operations Department.
The ideal candidate is a pro active, results focused team player who will work as part of the technical team responsible for maintenance of the City???s parks, trails and other municipal infrastructure. |

| Duties: |
The position will require that you are able to effectively plan and project manage a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, project estimating and cost control, for new parks, trails, streetscape improvements, and urban beautification projects. You will need to be physically fit as duties may involve accessing hillside trail networks and off trail greenspaces. |

| Educational Requirements: |
Qualified candidates must meet the eligiblity for an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) designation or an equivalent and acceptable qualification. See the Human Resources Website listed below for a full description of qualifications. |

| Skill Requirements: |
You will have superior knowledge of the standard methods, practices and principles used in the design and maintenance of public parks, recreational hiking trails and / or other municipal infrastructure. |

| Salary: |
$36.36 to $42.78 per hour (2018 rates). |
