The City of Abbotsford is currently looking for a talented person to fill one of the key positions in our Transportation team as a Transportation Technologist, reporting to the Senior Manager, Transportation. In this exciting full-time role within our Engineering and Regional Utilities Department, we are looking for a self-motivated professional with proven skills, energy and attention to detail. This skilled position requires a high degree of technical knowledge relating to design, planning, construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. Your superior organization and project management skills will allow you to effectively work on projects spanning multiple departments. You will provide support on leading edge initiatives while using your critical thinking skills on issues facing City infrastructure. You will provide support in the development of the City???s Active Transportation Corridors, including solutions for cyclists and pedestrian facilities. Knowledge and experience using Traffic Modelling software such as Synchro/SimTraffic or Vissim, would be an asset. As the ideal candidate you will have: ??? Completion of Grade 12; ??? Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent related diploma; ??? Five (5) years municipal design and field experience; ??? Valid BC Driver???s Licence ???
