| Job Description: |
The District of Mission???s Information Services Division is seeking an analytical problem solver with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills to join our multi-disciplinary team as a full-time User Support Technician I. |
|
| Duties: |
You will perform a variety of technical and operational tasks in the provision of computer support and problem resolution services. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving software and hardware incidents; referring major and unresolved problems to appropriate senior technical staff; performing a variety of system administration tasks; assisting in the evaluation of hardware and software and installing and configuring same; and providing basic staff training. |

| Educational Requirements: |
The ideal candidate will have completed a one-year certificate program in computer technology or a related discipline at a technical institute or community college and have a minimum of 1-year related experience in a similar computer system support environment. |

| Skill Requirements: |
You must have sound knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. The ability to obtain and maintain RCMP Reliability/Security Clearance ??? Level II (Secret) is mandatory. |

| Salary: |
The 2019 hourly rate for this position is $32.22 per hour plus an excellent benefit package upon completion of probation. We also offer a 9-day fortnight schedule (extended hours for nine days and one day off every two weeks). |
