Your love of the outdoors and turf grass maintenance will be ideal for this role in maintaining park areas, irrigation systems, sports fields, municipal grounds and boulevards. As the Trades I (Turf Maintenance) you will work in a wide range of turf grass related duties including routine repair, maintenance and development of park areas; assist in construction of sports fields; installing irrigation and drainage systems; applying integrated pest management practices.
As the successful candidate you have:
• Completion of Grade 12;
• Completion of post-secondary Diploma in Turfgrass Management technology;
• Work experience related to management of turf areas;
• BC Pesticide Applicator's Certificate in landscape and garden category;
• Valid BC Driver's Licence.
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $27.4 to $31.82.
