The City of Abbotsford???s Parks, Recreation & Culture department is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with proven skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment to join their team as a Planning & Partnerships Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the development of strategies, plans and community partnerships to support recreational planning and corporate objectives. You will bring considerable knowledge of municipal planning, proposals, and implementation of processes to develop the department objectives, including grant application processes.

As the Planning & Partnerships Coordinator you will provide advice and assistance to department management in developing, implementing and updating new plans, strategies, policies and agreements. In addition, you will analyze and interpret a variety of data and prepare recommendations related to department plans and services.

The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; along with the ability to coordinate and facilitate projects and workshops are essential to be successful in this role.

Qualifications Required:
??? Degree in recreation or business administration or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution;
??? Minimum three years??? related experience preferably in a municipal recreation or corporate planning environment;
??? Valid Class 5 BC Driver???s Licence.

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $31.19 to $36.68 per hour
