The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Assistant Coordinator ??? Victim Services to join our team of professionals in the Protective Services - RCMP Division; Client Support and Vitim Services Section.

Reporting to the Client Support and Victim Services Manager, in this unionized position you will be responsible for providing direct victim support services and ensuring that employee/client communications complies with established standards. You will review case files, assign work and provide guidance and assistance as required. The successful candidate will organize training sessions, prepare training materials and coordinate individual instruction and training.

Your education will include completion of a two-year diploma in the social sciences field and courses in crisis intervention, conflict resolution and victim support plus some related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have considerable knowledge of program objectives, policies and procedures and of the services provided to victims and witnesses of crime and trauma. This position requires considerable knowledge of crisis intervention practices and techniques. Sound knowledge of the services available through the various community agencies and organizations is essential in this role. The ability to monitor the work of others, provide instruction, communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external contacts is necessary.

??? BC Class 5 (full-privilege) driver???s license or equivalent driver???s license for where you reside. ??? RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status (Note - Not required as part of the application process, however will be required upon consideration for employment).

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $32.25 - $37.97 per hour (5 steps, 2019 rates); $32.90 - $38.73 per hour (2020 rates), plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:00am ??? 3:00pm; non-standard hours and/or non-standard work week.
