Totally committed to client service delivery, our Human Resources Division is currently recruiting for a Temporary Full Time Assistant Human Resources Advisor - Health and Safety (from approx. April 1, 2021 to June 3, 2022) to join to our team of professionals in the Human Resources Division.
Reporting to the Manager, Health and Safety in this exempt position you will be a key member of our team and although your primary focus will be in the health and safety area, you will be involved in a broad range of Human Resources functions. In past roles, you have been an integral part of a Human Resources team and can readily demonstrate your ability in a number of Human Resources areas. You will process, verify, maintain and update various documents and systems, provide front line support and customer service for the Division and you will be a key resource to employees and managers in all aspects of Human Resource service delivery. Working with various internal and external contacts, the successful candidate will possess a high level of enthusiasm and energy.
This position will appeal to a fast paced, detail-oriented, independent and well-organized individual who has completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management and/or Occupational Health and Safety, supplemented by post-secondary courses preferably in the occupational health and safety area plus 2 to 3 years direct experience in a municipal Human Resources environment. Extensive computer familiarity is required with proficiency in Word and Excel, a typing speed of 45 wpm, familiarity with HRIS. You will have sound knowledge of business English and excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate superior customer service when communicating with employees and external agencies.

• BC Class 5 (full-privilege) Driver’s License or equivalent driver’s license for where you reside. A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available with this Exempt position. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
