The City of Abbotsford???s Information Technology division is looking for a seasoned professional to join their dynamic team as a Network Systems Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, IT Systems, you will be responsible for the evaluation, installation, support and documentation of various IT infrastructure components as well as resolving complex technical problems.




Duties: In this challenging role, you will utilize your project management skills as you help to lead projects to upgrade and/or enhance IT infrastructure; identify requirements, define tasks and request resources necessary to complete upcoming work assignments; provide direction to other staff and coordinate the work of consultants as required.

Your advanced communication and interpersonal skills will assist you in developing and providing training and support for end users and other IT team members while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and capacities of IT infrastructure hardware, software and operating systems along with your ability to analyze and evaluate business processes and develop solutions for problems and inefficiencies will guide your success in this position. You will have a passion for lifelong learning in order to keep sharp with current trends and development in technology.
Educational Requirements: In order to be considered for this position you must have:

??? Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Information Systems or related discipline from
a recognized educational institute.
??? Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or;
??? An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
??? B.C. Class 5 Drivers Licence.
Salary: This position is unionized, C.U.P.E Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $38.85 to $45.71 per hour.
