The City of Abbotsford is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated professional with proven leadership skills as the Senior Manager, Airport Operations. YXX has a very diversified operation with an active airfield that represents 150,000 annual movements, and a terminal operation that supported 1 million plus passengers pre-COVID, 3 National Air Carriers operate from YXX, along with a world class fixed/rotary-winged Aerospace cluster representing 1,500 employees on the airfield. The incumbent will be responsible for providing the leadership and management of all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure the airport is operating in a safe, secure, efficient manner year-round.

| Duties: |
Specific responsibilities include:
??? Pro-actively managing all day to day operational challenges/opportunities for an active 24/7
airfield/terminal year round;
??? Ensuring the Airport is operating within all regulations that govern airports (YXX is a certified
aerodrome and is responsible for operating within all regulations set out by the Minister of
Transportation);
??? Establishing an open for business relationship with all YXX partners/stakeholders and
supporting their operational needs;
??? Providing leadership to airport staff through coaching, mentoring, listening, and providing
clear/precise directions to airport staff on day-to-day operation; and
??? Being a critical/strategic thinker, problem-solver with excellent written and verbal
communication skills and be expected to develop innovative solutions and approaches to
reconcile planning challenges.

| Educational Requirements: |
Our ideal candidate will have:
??? A diploma or Bachelor Degree (Business or Operations related);
??? 7 years of progressive work experience in Airport Operations and 5 plus years of
management/leadership experience.
