Job Description: The City of Abbotsford has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as an Auxiliary Communications & Marketing Administrator. This is an administrative role with moderately complex work providing support to the Communications and Marketing Department.

Our organization depends on the strength of relationship building and being effective and diplomatic in interactions with key stakeholders, fellow staff members and the public. Reporting to the Communications and Marketing Manager, the Communications and Marketing Administrator performs a variety of duties providing support to City departments, formatting and updating promotional materials, updating City websites and coordinating content and responses for City social media accounts.
Duties: Coordinating social media campaigns, website maintenance, support of website systems including Let’s Talk Abbotsford, monthly newsletter coordination, reviewing content and producing a print ready file to be distributed, creating and developing promotional materials, are key responsibilities of this role. The incumbent will be a highly efficient self-starter who values a team environment, and has great attention to detail. The ability to manage a busy and interesting workload, with potentially conflicting priorities, while providing excellent customer service is essential to the role.
Educational Requirements: As the ideal candidate, you will have:

• Completion of a post-secondary diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Social Media.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a Marketing, Communications, or Social Media
role at a comparable level performing functions in Adobe Creative Suite, social media, website
content writing and editing, page layout programs and Microsoft Suite.
Salary: This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $26.03 to $30.62 per hour.
