| Job Description: |
The City of Abbotsford???s Engineering department is currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated professional to join their dynamic team as a full-time Development Technologist I. In this exciting role you will have a wide range of tasks including administration of development projects, municipal services design and plan review property site inspections and much more!
This skilled position requires basic knowledge of civil and municipal engineering and planning principles, standards, policies, procedures, bylaws and Acts. Your attention to detail is key as you prepare cost estimates, reports and technical correspondence related to the work. You will utilize your communication and organizational skills as you schedule and coordinate pre-construction meetings with contractors, engineers and city staff. Your strong interpersonal skills will assist you as you liaise with staff, consultants, developers, and other stakeholders. You will work effectively both independently and in a team environment, and have the ability to learn and apply new procedures and techniques related to the work.

| Educational Requirements: |
To be considered for this position you must have:
??? Completion of Grade 12;
??? Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent related diploma;
??? Six months related experience in a civil engineering environment;
??? Valid Class 5 BC Driver???s Licence;
??? Eligibility for membership in ASTTBC. |

| Salary: |
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $35.47 to $41.72 per hour. |
